Board members are recommended to the Nominating Committee by the President. The President may select board members from a variety of sources, with preference given to members who regularly volunteer with the organization.



President: Provides leadership to the local chapter consistent with local, TXSHRM and SHRM policy strategies and objectives. Performs other duties as required by the local chapter's bylaws. Serves as a voting member of the TXSHRM state council. Click here to connect with Eli. 


Get to Know Eli:
  • Manages the People Operations department at Unlimited Technology, Inc., a national security system integrator. In his role, he partners with company leadership to drive culture, ensure high levels of employee engagement, and challenge the organization to continuously improve.
  • Prior to working with Unlimited Technology, Inc., he has worked in various industries, including: automotive, retail, staffing, and healthcare. 
  • Holds an undergraduate degree from the University of Texas at Arlington and a master of science degree in Human Resources Management from Tarleton State University.
  • Passionate about helping people, growing organizations, and having fun while doing it.

    




President-Elect: Assist the president in overseeing all the activities of the chapter.  In the absence of the president, perform all the presidential responsibilities.

Get to Know Isaac:

  • Joined Gallagher's Benefits & HR Consulting division in 2019 as a Retirement Plan Consultant 
  • Began his career in financial services with Fidelity Investments in 2012 and has since gained experience that encompasses all areas of the employee benefits industry. Prior to joining Gallagher, Isaac worked as Vice President of Retirement Business Business Development for PNC Bank.
  • A graduate of Tarleton State University with a Bachelor of Business Administration, has completed the Accredited Investment Fiduciary® (AIF®) certification through Fi360 and has been a board member of Fort Worth HR since 2019. 
  • Works closely with HR leaders every day and serves on the board of FWHR to support the development and professional growth of its members. 
  • Enjoys Barbecuing, being outdoors with his dogs, and spending time with his wife and son.




Marketing Director: Oversees and manages the marketing and public relations activities of the chapter including social media and chapter newsletters. Click here to connect with Natasha.

  • Active FWHR member since 2016, serving in various board positions, and participated in many planning committees for the association's events and learning opportunities. 
  • Director of HR at AUI Partners, a construction company in Fort Worth.
  • Holds a BBA with a focus on HR and a SHRM-SCP certification. 
  • A busy mother of two boys (a 7 and 16 year old) and loves spending time with family and friends. 
  • Energized by meeting new people, making every interaction meaningful, and helping others.
  • Her wish is for any non-member reading this to become a member and utilize this community as a resource to learn and network with the 500+ members and valued sponsors/partners.

  • Served on the FWHR board since 2018.

  • She is passionate about teaching and developing employees, and wants to encourage others to grow and learn in their HR profession
  • Her wish for FWHR members is for them to get involved with this dedicated, fun loving group of warm professionals.
  • An Alumni of University of Texas at Arlington and a mother of a medical student. 
  • In her spare time, she enjoys making greeting cards and painting.

Get to Know Julia:

  • Holds a BBA in Management from Texas A&M University and a Masters in Organizational Development for the University of the Incarnate Word.
  • Over 10 years of Human Resources experience most recently serving as Director of Human Resources
  • Getting into HR wasn’t a straight path. She started working in higher education before her initial introduction to HR as a recruiter. She then spent 6 years in public education and 4 of those years as a classroom teacher before returning to HR in 2014. Her mix of education and HR experience has developed a passion to help employees learn and progress in order to reach their goals and full potential.
  • FWHR has been a great connection point to meet other professionals and provided me with the resources I needed to get certified in 2017.
  • Married to her high school sweetheart with 3 kids and 2 dogs who all love spending their free time at the lake.

      


Sponsorship Director:  Identifies and secures sponsors for chapter meetings and events who are willing to assist the chapter financially in return for an opportunity to promote their product or service to members.   • An advisor at Marsh McLennan. With over 10 years of HR Experience in the mid-market sector, he currently helps his clients find the right mix of health & wellness benefits that will help attract and retain the right mix of employees.
  • Passionate about making communities better, and that there's no better place to start then here in Fort Worth. 
  • Wants to make sure the next generation of HR professionals have the correct resources to move forward in their careers. Getting plugged into this chapter is step one in that process.
  • A proud North Texas grad with Nebraska roots. 
  • He is happily married to his wife, and is a father to two daughters, Lyla & Ivy. 
  • Coaches youth lacrosse, can’t swim well, and is a diehard Rangers fan.

  • Active member of FWHR since 2000, serving in various board positions including committees for planning events. In her current role as VP, Associate Director of Human Resources at Southside Bank, Melanie is responsible for HR for North Texas, including talent acquisition, salary and benefits administration and design,, and performance management. Her innovative approach to human resource management has contributed to improved employee engagement, retention, and productivity, while also ensuring compliance with evolving labor laws and industry regulations.
  • A graduate from the University of Texas at Arlington with a Bachelor or Business Administration and holds a PHR and SHRM-CP certification.
  • She loves meeting new people and enjoys working closely with senior leaders to provide impactful programs that align with management and business objectives.
  • Outside the office, Melanie shares a life with her husband and son along with four Brittany Spaniels who rule the house. Melanie enjoys digital scrapbooking, watching football, and enjoying the beach when she can.

    Get to Know Crystal:

    • With 12 years of HR expertise, Crystal brings passion, dedication, and strategic insight to every professional endeavor. As the Director of HR at AngMar Medical Holdings, Inc., she drives organizational growth through innovative strategies.
    • A University of Houston alumni (Go Coogs!), Crystal is pursuing higher education focusing on employment law. Her commitment to professional development led her to join the FWHR board, where she discovered an invaluable network of HR leaders. She actively champions FWHR membership and HR certification, recognizing the profound impact of community connection and professional resources.
    • Outside the office, Crystal shares life's adventures with her high school sweetheart-turned-husband. Together, they've conquered the legendary Nürburgring circuit in Germany, fueled by their shared passion for F1 racing and track days.
    • Their home is ruled by a trio of Shih Tzus pups – Louie, Lyla, and Luna – who ensure there's never a dull moment. Crystal finds her balance through hot yoga, tending to her garden, and reading. Crystal embraces being the hostess with the mostest, creating memorable gatherings for friends and family.


    Treasurer: Acts as financial officer and advisor to chapter board of directors. Files appropriate forms and information with IRS. Collects funds and monitors attendance at luncheons and oversees collection of donated monies. Click here to connect with Leila.

      • Founder, LPHR Consulting, providing practical HR consulting, leadership support, and tools that help organizations strengthen culture and performance.

      • Assistant Director of Human Resources for the City of Fort Worth with 20+ years of HR experience.

      • Joined FWHR to expand her network of HR professionals and later joined the board to create more opportunities for members to connect, learn, and build community.

      • Passionate about helping leaders navigate real-world people challenges—especially employee relations, policy/process improvement, and manager support.

      • Her hope for current and future members is to meet new people leading to meaningful connections and lasting friendships.

      • Outside of work, she enjoys reading, diamond painting, and quality time with family. She’s married, a proud mom of four, and grandma to two boys.

      • HR Business Partner for MedStar Mobile Healthcare with 10 years of combined Talent Acquisition and HR experience.
      • Attended Arizona State University as a first-generation student to complete an undergraduate degree in organizational development and received her MBA in Human Resource Management from Northcentral University.
      • Born and raised in Fort Worth and joined FWHR to attend the S/PHR Prep Class (shameless plug: she passed on the first try).
      • Passionate about working with senior leadership to create the best employee experience possible so that they can better serve their communities.
      • Self-proclaimed cat lady and cat momma to her cat named Rat Rat.
      • In her spare time, she enjoys playing Volleyball, watching crime and/or cooking shows and working on Disney themed diamond paintings.



      Legal and Legislative Director:  Monitors and evaluates on a continuing basis pending legislative, regulatory and legal action at the federal, state, and local level that may have an impact on the profession and management of human resources.  Click here to connect with Norma. 


      Get to Know Norma Gina:

      • Began her career as a Litigation Paralegal in 2004, transitioned to a Senior Paralegal in Labor and Employment Law in 2010, and then repositioned her legal expertise into Compliance and Information Governance in 2017.
      • Joined Alitek Solutions in 2021 as a Consultant and Senior Manager, primarily engaging with Legal, Compliance, and HR stakeholders to address and achieve overall strategic business optimization.
      • Graduated from Diamond Hill Jarvis High School, holds a B.S. in Legal studies from Kaplan University, a M.S. in Industrial and Organizational Psychology from Southern New Hampshire University, and is currently enrolled at Western Governors University to earn her MBA by mid-2025.
      • A proud and extremely busy mom of five boys, ages ranging from 24-20 months, with her oldest in the Navy since 2018.
      • A lover of books and writing, including her very own published work Darkness Rising: Dark Days Book One.

      Get to Know Christina:

      • Christina Cantu is an HR Generalist and Talent Acquisition Specialist at AUI Partners, a renewable solar energy company in Fort Worth, where she has worked for four years supporting the full employee lifecycle. She is currently pursuing her SHRM-SCP to continue advancing her HR expertise.

      • She has served on the board of Fort Worth HR for four years and currently serves as Director of Membership. In this role, Christina is focused on fostering stronger connections among members and building a more engaged HR community.

      • Outside of work, Christina enjoys watching Law & Order: SVU with her husband and spending time with their dog, Winnie, checking out the local farmers markets.

        Get to Know Dottie:

        • Joined Parrish-Hare Electrical Supply as HR Manager in February of 2021.  
        • Began her HR career in 2010 when she started the HR dept.  Since then, she has worked as an HR dept of one and manages all aspects of HR.
        • A graduate of Texas Christian University with a BS in Communications. Go Frogs!  She holds both the PHR and SHRM-CP certification.
        • Been a member of FWHR for 10 years, been on the board for 9 of those years.
        • Works closely with HR leaders to better support their career and serves on the board of FWHR to support the development and professional growth of its members. 
        • Enjoys spending time with husband, William and her 3 children going to BMX races and gymnastic meets.

        • Passionate HR leader with 15+ years’ experience fostering talent growth across Accounting, Finance, and HR. 
        • Skilled in identifying top candidates and matching them with ideal employers. Dedicated to building strong communities through volunteer work with Blue Zones and DFW metroplex organizations. 
        • Servant leadership advocate, inspiring others to reach their full potential. Currently HR department of one at Ideal Partners, supporting company culture, growth, and employee needs.

        Get to know Samantha:

        • After a decade of experience in the fitness industry as a program director, Samantha Amick joined the Benbrook Water Authority in 2018. She transitioned to the role of HR Manager in 2023 after earning her PHR certification.

        • Samantha is passionate about fostering company culture, promoting employee growth and development, and engaging in strategic planning.

        • Currently, she is pursuing a Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration and Human Relations.

        • Serving her second year as the FWHR Board secretary, Samantha enjoys meeting new people, building connections, and supporting those around her.

        • Outside of her professional life, Samantha is an avid endurance runner, participating in races across the United States and internationally, including Australia, New Zealand, Europe, and South Africa.

        • She is happily married to her biggest fan and is a proud, busy mom to four children aged 20, 18, 8, and 4.

        • When not working, Samantha loves spending time outdoors with her family and their German Shepherd pup, whether hiking, walking, or playing soccer.

        • Originally trained as a photographer with a Fine Arts degree, Joni later transitioned into HR and holds her PHR certification with a focus on People Experience and L&D.
        • She has also served on the FWHR board as a Conferences Director (2021-2022) and Marketing Director (2023).
        • Outside of work, Joni lives with her husband and their mini long-haired dachshund and enjoys dancing, board games, video games, and travelling.
