FWHR is seeking dedicated volunteers to join us on Nov. 18th from 9am-12pm for a Thanksgiving food distribution event. As a volunteer, you will play a vital role in ensuring the smooth operation of the event and providing essential support to those in need. 

Your responsibilities will include:

  1. Sorting Food: Help us organize and categorize donated food items, ensuring they meet quality standards and checking expiration dates.
  2. Setting up the Distribution Area: Assist in arranging tables, signage, and any necessary equipment to create a welcoming distribution area.
  3. Preparing Food Bags: Help assemble bags with food items, ensuring they are properly filled and ready for distribution.
  4. Managing Registration: Assist with the registration process, including checking in recipients, recording necessary information, and providing any required forms.
  5. Traffic Control: Help direct traffic flow to ensure a safe and organized distribution experience for everyone involved.
  6. Loading Food into Cars: Assist recipients in loading their allocated food items into their vehicles, providing support and ensuring their groceries are safely secured.

Your participation will not only provide valuable assistance but also contribute to fostering a sense of community and helping families in need. Volunteers of all ages, including families with children as young as 8 with chaperons, are welcome to join us in this important endeavor. Your time and effort will make a significant difference in the lives of community members.
